"The Vermont Youth Conservation Corps is a non-profit
youth, service, conservation, and education organization that instills in individuals
the values of personal responsibility, hard work, education, and respect for
the environment.
Each year, the VYCC hires young people ages 16-24 who work and study together
under adult leadership to complete high-priority conservation projects such
as state park management, trail maintenance, and backcountry construction."
Timber & Stone, LLC was contracted to develop and instruct a conservation education curriculum
for the VYCC's Fall Leadership Crew. Additionally, we provided technical support
as the crew completed a re-route of the Appalachian Trail.
