Accessible Trail Construction

 

Project Profile: Mount Independence State Historic Site, Orwell, Vermont
Peter S. Jensen & Associates, LLC subcontracted Timber & Stone, LLC to construct a new trail on this extensive trail system that gives equal access to this historic site. Survey work ensured proper layout and design in accordance with ADA regulations. Stone crib walls were constructed to retain a switchback trail that accesses upper fields.

Link to larger photo of the handicap accessible bridge constructed at the TiberPointe Outdoor Center in Bloomington, Illinois. This cribwall, constructed of imported limestone, allowed the trail grade to comply with accessible guidelines.
