Backcountry Trail Construction
Trail Location: Conway, MA

 

Project Profile:
Timber & Stone, LLC constructed a canoe and kayak portage trail for users of the Deerfield River.

 

The elevated staircase and floating dock system articulates to match the adjustments in river height that is needed for the hydro power dam. The trail continues along the Mohawk Trail and then new trail was designed and constructed that leads users back to the river just below the dam.

 

New trail tread and stone staircases allow for safe portage by all river users.
